Teknopedia – If you like to travel and/or need to travel for work, Apple’s iPhone can be a great solution for you. One of the latest and greatest features of the Apple iPhone is its GPS capability. Navigator is already installed and knows exactly where you are. So good that sometimes I don’t even have my dedicated Garmin GPS with me. If you travel a lot and haven’t traveled recently, you always have a sat nav at hand. Travel and your iPhone are the perfect combinations.
Some people wonder why you need a navigator on your phone. Many people prefer to stop and ask for directions. But what if you meet your friends for a night out and it’s the new bar? Or what if you have to go to several places on the same night? It quickly becomes difficult to remember how to get to all the different locations.
One of the best features of GPS is its ability to give you step-by-step directions. Dedicated GPS devices now offer this feature as well, but the Apple iPhone also displays it in text and graphic formats. But other than that, Apple’s iPhone GPS system looks more up-to-date than my particular Garmin GPS. The latest maps and roads are on the device. No charges have been made for the new card so far, which is good. Finally, you also get free traffic information with the GPS device, which is an extra cost for Garmin.
Another great travel feature of the Apple iPhone is the built-in movie player and the ability to read e-books and listen to music. The iPod portion of the Apple iPhone is like having your own theater or club party in your hands. Imagine driving those few hundred miles non-stop to get you started. Part of that built-in cinema is also the ability to watch YouTube videos, especially if you have an internet connection, which is almost certain as there are many ways to connect to the internet with an Apple iPhone.
In addition to this great built-in app, you also have the option to download more programs and games to keep yourself entertained. For example, one of the fun free games I downloaded is Papi. The integrated gyro function of the Apple iPhone makes it a unique gaming experience. I’ve been playing with it for hours and so have my kids.
Now that you understand why travel and your iPhone are perfect, keep this in mind for your next trip. You can download movies, e-books, music, and TV channels before you set off… provided you have enough storage space, of course. Use the built-in navigator to figure out where to go and find interesting places along the way.
